Hello reader. I graduated this spring with a B.S. of biotechnology from Rutgers University's School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. I currently work at Noble Mushrooms as a lead scientist in Research & Development. That means I spend a lot of time standing at my whiteboard thinking up experiments so crazy they might actually work.

Katie Marra and I love to teach science through storytelling. We teach educators how they can do this too: "Storytelling in Science; ANJEE 2026".
I founded the Rutgers Mycology club, with the help of Stephen Akash and Alex Kuhn.
I assist my colleague, Kathryn Marra, with her native bee outreach workshops by designing stickers for participants.
A scientist has many quests. Aside from the eternal pursuit of knowledge and truth, we are the intellectual pillars of our communities. Scientific research acquires value when it supports the health of our ecosystems. This includes our fungal and six-legged, beady eyed friends. I do my best to incorporate my creativity and problem-solving skills in my research and community outreach projects.

There are stories everywhere. They’re unfolding beneath our feet, up in the dancing tree branches above our heads, and within the dark, wet corners of our organs. Stories are woven into our genes, written with four simple letters, evolving throughout time and space.
Storytelling is how we empathize. It bridges the gap from one life to the next, creating a web of shared experience, in which no living creature exists in isolation.
